Financial platform
Improving the deposits marketplace by restructuring filters
Context
Finuslugi is a financial platform offering insurance, savings, credit, and investment products. Deposits are the key product and the main revenue driver of the platform.
The primary deposit flow starts from the marketplace screen, where users browse available offers and proceed to open a selected deposit.
In the original version, filters occupied more than half of the visible screen area. As a result, user attention shifted away from attractive offers toward filter controls. This reduced both engagement and overall screen effectiveness.

Process
This case was delivered end to end — from identifying the product signal and forming a hypothesis to design QA, release, and result evaluation. I worked closely with the product manager and the development team throughout the process.
Insight
The deposits marketplace is a key screen in the deposit opening flow. At the same time, filters took up most of the screen space, which prevented users from seeing appealing offers and from quickly getting answers to their core need — preserving and growing their money.
Hypothesis
If the screen is freed up for cards with the highest interest rates and filters are shifted from a dominant to a supporting role, users will be able to focus on value, and conversion to deposit opening will increase.
Alignment
I presented the hypothesis to the deposits product manager, explained the expected outcome, and agreed to validate it by changing the screen structure.
Solution
I redesigned the screen so that users first focus on offers with the best rates, while filters are used to refine parameters rather than dominate the experience.
Solution
Based on this insight, I refined the hypothesis and reworked the deposits marketplace screen so that users initially focus on high-interest and high-yield offers. Filters were moved to the top and compressed into a single row.
Design QA
After handing off the designs to development, I conducted a design QA of the implemented screens to ensure they matched the original layouts. I created a dedicated task with detailed feedback, including alignment, spacing, font sizes, color accents, and visual hierarchy. All issues were addressed and fixed before release. Results
After the changes were released, conversion to deposit opening increased noticeably.
Before the changes
(June–July 2023)
Conversion to flow completion:: 22,3%
After the changes
(October–November 2023)
Conversion to flow completion: 31,45%
Summary
Transitions from the marketplace to deposit opening increased by 14.77 percentage points, confirming the hypothesis that shifting focus from filtering to deposit offers improves flow completion and user engagement. Overall conversion to deposit opening increased by 9.15 percentage points.
